VHF Short Range Certificate (SRC)

A one day course covering all aspects of marine radio use. Essential for safety and useful for many other situations. The SRC is an international licence which has replaced the old VHF licence. It allows the holder to legally use a VHF radio. It also satisfies the requirements for Certificates of Competence, such as RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. The course is a mix of theory and practical sessions. You'll learn call up & voice procedures, distress working, plus the dos and don'ts of Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress & Safety System). This course requires no previous knowledge. New ICOM 421 adapted DSC VHF training simulators! Course Fee 230 Euros (plus RYA exam fee of £30 GBP) Note! A passport size photo is required
