Course
This is a three day introductory course to Motor-Cruising covers
basic boat handling, safety procedures and navigation.
During the course
you'll learn the basics of berthing 'stern to' as is common in Mediterranean as
well as the more conventional alongside style. The technique for man overboard
recovery is also an important part of the syllabus.
On successful completion of this course you will be able to
skipper a Motor-Cruiser in familiar waters by day.
UK residents/
passport holders will also be able to apply to the Royal Yachting Association
for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for
power vessels up to 24 metres in length.
RYA Day Skipper
This four day course concentrates
on boat handling, pilotage, seamanship and
navigation.
The course develops your boat handling skills and
introduces the techniques of night pilotage.
Anchoring procedures are
also developed further in this course, helping to ensure you select the best
position to be able to relax in confidence
On successful completion of this
course you will be able to confidently skipper
a Motor-Cruiser.
