The subject areas covered include: Seamanship, including terms, ropework, anchoring, safety. International regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea. Navigation, including chart familiarisation, use of chart instruments, compasses, position fixing, tides and tidal streams. Passage planning and pilotage. Meteorology. |
