This course covers boat handling, pilotage, seamanship, navigation and man-overboard recovery.
It includes berthing ‘stern to’ as is common in the Mediterranean as well as the more conventional alongside style.
Anchoring procedures are also covered helping to ensure you select the best anchorage position to be able to relax in confidence.
Night pilotage techniques are also part of the course, so you are ready for any eventuality.
Eligible persons can also apply to the Royal Yachting Association for an ‘International Certificate of Competence’ (ICC) for vessels up to 24 metres in length.
Duration: 4 days (including night exercise)
Ability after course: Skipper a Motor-Cruiser in familiar waters.
